9th SARPS Congress on Pain is going to be held at Dhaka Bangladesh in December 3-5, 2022 at Intercontinental, Dhaka. The host Bangladesh Society for Study of Pain ( BSSP) invites all of Pain Physicians of SAARC region to join the Mega Pain Educational Fest and makes it a great success. Since 2013, Interplast, in partnership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and the
Bangladesh Society for Study of Pain – BSSP has been delivering Essential Pain Management (EPM) courses in Bangladesh. We recently completed an evaluation of the effectiveness and sustainability of this program, and are pleased to make the findings available.

Some key findings are highlighted below. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our programs is essential to ensure that we are meeting our objectives and continuing to address locally identified need in a sustainable way. This evaluation was part-funded by Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade ’s ANCP.

IASP members voted to elect a new slate of officers and councilors. All will begin their terms in September 2020. Claudia Sommer (Germany), the current president-elect, will become president, and Lars Arendt-Nielsen (Denmark), the current president, will become the immediate past president.\
